Our first veggie boxes go out in the second week of June, and continue for 20 weeks until the third week of October (the week after Thanksgiving)

You will get a box of veggies for 20 weeks, or about 5 months, from June to October.

Yes! You can choose to get your veggies every week or every other week.

Our boxes are customizable, so every one is different! The box is made up of a selection of vegetables that equal the weekly value of your share size.

However, on average:

The Regular Share has 6 items weekly.

(for example: 1 bag of salad mix, 1 bunch of kale, two bell peppers, 1 lb of tomatoes, 1 pint of cherry tomatoes, 1 bunch of spring onions)

A Large Share has 10 items weekly.

(ie. 2 bags of salad mix, 1 bunch of kale, 1 lb of tomatoes, 1 pint of cherry tomatoes, 1 bunch of spring onions, 1 bunch of carrots, 2 cucumbers, 2 zucchini, 1 bunch of beets)

A regular share has about 6 items per week a large has about 10.

If you are new to our Farm Share, we recommend getting the regular size box. The majority of our customers use this size. If you know you consume a LOT of vegetables or you like to store things away for the winter, then choose the large box.

You can always change your share size at any point through the season - just send us an email.

We use a pretty cool software company called Harvie to help us manage our Farm Share program. They are a small local-food-focused business based in Pittsburgh, U.S.

We grow all the food and run our farm.

Harvie provides an online platform for us to manage our Farm Share. This platforms allows you as a customer to create an account and log in weekly to see what’s in your weekly box, customize it, put it on hold, and make payments.

We have used Harvie for the past 5 years and are pleased with the ability it gives us to offer a modern online experience and customizable shares

Each week you will receive a selection of produce based on what is in season on our farm and based on the preferences you set in your account.

Before you get your box, you can view this selection online, and then customize it to your liking. You can swap out vegetables, remove them, or add more.

(If you go over your weekly box value, you will be charged the difference.)

Preferences

We don’t want you to get stuck with veggies you don’t like, so you get a chance to tell us what you like and what you don’t.

When you sign up, you will be able to rate all the produce we grow on a scale of 1 to 5. 1 means you NEVER want that in your box, and a 5 means you ALWAYS want it in your box when it is available.

These preferences help create what is in your box, but you will always have the chance to customize it further.

A Regular Share is $28/week. That’s $560 for a weekly box or $280 for a bi-weekl box.

A Large Share is $40/week. That’s $800 for a weekly box or $400 for a bi-weekly box.

We have 2 payment options:

Pay in full (credit card or cash)

Pay in installments with our payment plan (see the next question for details)

With the payment plan, you will pay: 25% deposit on sign up, 25% deposit on first pick up, and the remaining 50% will be divided between all weeks of the share.

Here is a breakdown of what that looks like:

Regular, Weekly Share (20 weeks at $28/week):

Total Cost: $560 (25% = $140, 50% over 20 weeks = $14/week)

1st payment (on sign up): $140

2nd payment (on first pick up/delivery): $154 ($140 + $14 weekly payment)

Remaining payments: $14/week

Regular, Every Other Week Share (10 weeks at $28/week):

Total Cost: $280 (25% = $70. 50% over 10 weeks = $14/week)

1st payment (on sign-up): $70

2nd payment (on first pick up/delivery) $84 ($70 + $14 weekly payment)

Remaining payments: $14/week

Large, Weekly Share (20 weeks at $40/week):

Total Cost: $800 (25% = $200, 50% over 20 weeks = $20/week)

1st payment (on sign up): $200

2nd payment (on first pick up/delivery): $220 ($200 + $20 weekly payment)

Remaining payments: $20/week

Large, Every Other Week Share (10 weeks at $40/week):

Total Cost: $400 (25$ = $100, 50% over 10 weeks = $20/week)

1st payment (on sign up): $100

2nd payment (first pick up/delivery): $120 ($100 + $20 weekly payment)

Remaining payments: $20/week

You can easily hold your share and reschedule it to be picked up on another week!
